Gold & Glamorous Chic

This look is unique from any of my other posts because it’s a fusion of American/Pakistani styles. The detailed velvet vest is from Pakistan, designed by Saba Khan, a Pakistani Designer from the Chicago-land area. The wonderful thing about this vest is that it can be worn with Pakistani clothing or your daily jeans and a t-shirt! I decided to find a mix of casual and dressy for this look. I stuck to a simple black v-neck, with black jeans, and some strappy black heels. The gold clutch and the small gold accented accessories definitely dressed up the look, along with the heels. This look can be made more casual with flats or sandals, and a bucket bag rather than a clutch. It’s great for a fancy dinner with friends, family events, and much more. I personally love how unique and intricate Pakistani fashion is and I try to incorporate that in my daily attire.Whether that’s through small jewelry pieces, or something more apparent like this vest. Pakistani fashion has grown immensely in the past decade, and is now very easy to fuse with American fashion. Quite frankly, I could go through my closet full of Pakistani clothes and find various pants, scarves, and tunics that I can use for casual, daily wear. You would be surprised how simple it is to mix fashion from two different cultures, to create a beautiful and unique look!
