Spring Chic

With the weather quickly changing in Chicago, I wanted to come up with a simple everyday look that would suit the transition period between Winter and Spring! I stuck to the basics and went with a comfy pastel tee, some high waisted black jeans, and a chunky knit cardigan. The pastel pink adds the perfect touch of color for the Spring, without being too bright. Personally I’m a fan of wearing darker colors so I like to make grey and black work in the Spring by pairing them with pastel colors such as tea pink, taupe, mint, or lavender. The grey cardigan is appropriate for the weather since the look can be worn with or without it. And with the weather being so on and off, it’s nice to keep an extra layer around, especially one that feels like a soft blanket… can’t go wrong with that. I also decided to stick to gold accessories to add a fun touch to it, although the clothing is minimal, I wanted the accessories to stand out. I’m wearing a gold watch on one hand, and a thick gold bracelet on the other, with my black and gold cross-body bag. And for shoes I went with my heeled booties that work for literally every occasion. I can wear these with dressy night wear or casual day wear, and everything in between. This look is so simple and easy to find in any closet, and quite frankly I find myself wearing variations of this outfit everyday. This is just a transition Spring look, so I hope to bring you guys a full on Spring outfit as soon as the weather allows it!
